Project Description

The City of St. Louis required improvements at the Forest Park Aviation Fields and surrounding roads. The improvements for this project included providing upgrades to the Aviation Field’s lighting, drainage, walkways, and landscaping and to provide better parking. ABNA led the MEP, Survey, and Transportation Services for this project. ABNA’s MEP tasks included preparing the plans to upgrade the roadway lighting along 2,300 feet of Clayton Road and Stable Drive and to upgrade the existing Aviation Fields lighting from 1500-watt Metal Halide (MH) luminaires to Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting. There were four (4) softball fields and one (1) baseball field that required improvements. Improvements also included the addition of LED lighting to 3 un-lit baseball fields and upgrades to the power supply and lighting controller. ABNA also prepared the application to the power company for an energy-saving rebate which was approved. The energy-saving rebate that ABNA prepared for the client was approved and earned the client $30,000 in energy credit rebates.
