Greening of ABNA continues…

ABNA has implemented a more comprehensive recycling program along with other initiatives to reduce our collective carbon footprint.  This will encompass a Five Phase process to increase recycling, reduce our carbon footprint, and engage the community in the importance of environmental stewardship. Phase I included some token steps toward reducing the amount of recycling that enters the waste stream and resulted in a contract with a Recycling Provider.

Phase two began with the creation of the ABNA Green Team consisting of one of our Princiapls Nicole Adewale, Karen Wright from Administration, Rhoda Hall and Rakesh Mora from our Modeling Group, and Christian Grimaud and Chantal Mailhot from Engineering. This newly formed committee is currently developing sustainable practices and policies and will be the primary champion of this effort within the company.

Prior to the Greening of ABNA campaign, ABNA only offered paper recycling. Now, in addition to receptacles for recycling paper in the printing rooms, we have containers to collect co-mingled recycling on each floor. Additional steps to be implemented in the near future include reducing personal trash receptacles and increasing commercial recycling in our neighborhood.
